Apply for Admission

Admission is competitive with limited space available. Applicants are ranked by a committee and admission is awarded to applicants of the highest rank until all positions are filled. Minimum requirements for admission in full standing include:

  • A bachelor's degree in any field from a regionally accredited institution

  • A GPA in excess of 3.0 on the most recent 60 semester hours of course work

  • A GMAT score that indicates sufficient preparation for a rigorous graduate business program

  • For international applicants, a minimum TOEFL score of 600

  • Two acceptable letters of recommendation. No specific form is required, but letters should address academic accomplishments, intellectual abilities, and relevant experience when possible

  • Submission of a current résumé

  • Submssion of a statement of purpose (see below)

  • Completion of the following prerequisite course work with at least a "C" grade:

    • Introduction to Accounting Principles I

    • Business Finance

These admission requirements are subject to change without notice. Admission is competitive among the pool of applicants.

Statement of Purpose

Often the résumé, transcripts, and GMAT scores fail to capture important characteristics that the individual offers for the program. The Statement of Purpose is a short essay in which an applicant reflects on contribution that the MBA degree will make to the applicant’s future success and the special characteristics that the applicant brings to the MBA program. We are interested in value-added experiences, both from the program to the student and from the individual student to the program. The typed Statement of Purpose (about 400 words) should address the following questions:

  • Why have you chosen to pursue the MBA?

  • How will these studies help you attain your career goals?

Application Deadlines

To be considered for admission for one of the three possible entry points, a completed application package (including GMAT and TOEFL scores and all transcripts) must be received by the following deadlines:

Fall Admission (starting in August): July 15

Spring Admission (starting in January): November 15

Summer Admission (starting in June): April 15

Applications received or completed after these deadlines will be considered for the next admission date.
