Managerial Finance

Managerial Finance majors must select an emphasis in either Corporate Finance or Investment Analysis and complete additional courses for the selected emphasis.
Corporate Finance emphasis:
To obtain an emphasis in Corporate Finance, students must successfully complete two additional Finance or Accountancy courses at the 300 level or higher.
Investment Analysis emphasis:
To obtain an emphasis in Investment Analysis, students must successfully complete FIN 341 (Risk and Insurance) and FIN 351 (Principles of Real Estate).
In addition to the above requirements, all Managerial Finance students must complete a total of 7 elective courses. Four of these courses (12 credit hours) must be in non-business subjects, two (6 credit hours) must be in 300 level or above business, management, marketing, finance, MIS, or accountancy subjects that are not required for this major, and one course (3 credit hours) must be either a 300 level or above business, management, marketing, finance, MIS, or accountancy course or a 300 level or above non-business elective.
Note on Prerequisites
Many courses have prerequisites for other courses that must be successfully completed prior to enrolling in a particular course.
