Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Management

The Management curriculum is broad in nature and designed to provide professional education for management positions in private and public organizations. The program also provides a foundation for graduate study and professional development. The wide variety of courses allows students to develop knowledge and skills in behavioral management and human resource management.

 

All students with a major in Management are required to follow a prescribed curriculum for the freshman and sophomore years. The Management major consists of 24 semester hours beyond the required Business and Liberal Arts core and must include MGMT 371 (Principles of Management) and MGMT 383 (Human Resource Management) as well as 18 additional hours of undergraduate management courses. Students must choose either a behavioral or human resource emphasis within the management curriculum.

 

The B.B.A in Management can be completed at our branch campuses at Southaven and Tupelo.

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A)

The MBA Program at the University of Mississippi provides rigorous and practical training in all of the core areas of business management. The program can be completed in as little as one year, but students can enroll on a part-time basis for exceptional flexibility in meshing work and family obligations with graduate studies.

 

Students can choose either a traditional classroom-based format in the On-Campus MBA Program, or an on-line course format in the Professional MBA Program.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration

The doctoral program in Business Administration seeks to develop capable educators and scholars. Students are trained to conduct independent academic research to facilitate the development of the science of management. Graduates of our program typically become successful faculty at research-oriented universities.
