Skills for Human Resource Managers
These four-hour semesters are designed to enhance HR managers' knowledge of core HR functions and improve their on-the-job performance. These seminars are especially valuable to newly assigned HR managers who have little or no formal HR training or education. The Skills for Human Resource Managers seminars are also good refresher training for seasoned HR professionals, especially those who are specialists in other HR functional areas.
Individuals requiring continuing profession education units for PHR and SPHR recertification will receive 3.5 CEU credits for completing any of these seminars.

Sexual Harassment - Legal Environment, Employer Liability, Types of Sexual Harassment, Federal Guidelines, EEOC Investigations, Developing Sexual Harassment Policies, Conducting In-House Investigations, Rights of the Accused and Due Process. This instruction is particularly important due to increasing employer liability for sexual harassment involving supervisory personnel, and employer eligibility for the Ellerth/Faragher affirmative defense and the Kolstad good faith defense against vicarious liability.
Training Needs Analysis Techniques of Needs Analysis, Data Confrontation, Behavior Discrepancy Identification, Options for Corrective Action, Training Strategies, Benefits and Uses of Needs Analysis.
