Bio:
Robert Van Ness received a B. S. in Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1989, an MBA from the University of Memphis in 1992, and a Ph. D. from the University of Memphis in 1996 from the University of Memphis. Prior to Ole Miss Dr. Van Ness was on the faculty at Kansas State University and Marshall University.
Dr. Van Ness is currently the co-editor (with Bonnie Van Ness) of The Financial Review. The Financial Review is a highly visible journal which is associated with the Eastern Finance Association. Dr. Van Ness has published over 60 research articles in finance and the area where he conducts most of his research is called market microstructure – how financial market structure affects trading on the various stock exchanges.
