Dear Readers,

Welcome to the first edition of Business First, the magazine. This magazine builds on the success of the Business First newsletter that debuted last year. As a leader in business education, the Ole Miss School of Business administration is proud to bring you this magazine, which will highlight businesses owned or operated by Ole Miss alumni and friends, feature articles from Ole Miss business faculty and industry leaders about topics that are on the forefront of today’s business climate, and the latest information about Ole Miss business.

When creating this magazine, we wanted something different from the average run-of-the-mill business school magazine. Great schools are known for their great networks of alumni and friends. Our business school wants to provide more connect-ability for our alumni and friends, as well as for alumni across the entire university. With each issue we hope to bring you closer to the Ole Miss business community and to provide information that will “lend you a helping hand” in building toward your own personal and professional success.

With “Connected to Commerce” as the overarching theme for Ole Miss business, we will continue to put business first!
