UNIVERSITY, Miss. –
The 4th Annual University of Mississippi Insurance Golf Classic will be
held in Oxford on Sept. 27 at the Ole Miss Golf Course, with entry open to
the public. Proceeds benefit the Ole Miss Insurance and Risk Management
Program.
“What is best about this event is the interaction of our insurance
students and industry people. Anytime we get alumni and industry
professionals in the same setting with students, good things happen. It
facilitates connections that lead to referrals, internships, and jobs,”
said Larry Cox, the Robertson Chair of Insurance at Ole Miss.
The four-person scramble tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun
start. Registration is $95 and covers green fees, cart rental, continental
breakfast, and an awards luncheon. Also included is a reception from 7 to
9 p.m. on Sept. 26. For non-golfers, a $25 fee gains entry to the social
