Alumni Support
If you are not receiving invitations to all of the great events that Ole Miss and the Business School offer, please take a few minutes to update your contact information and let us know how we, and other alumni, can reach you by clicking here.
Ole Miss alumni support is a hallmark of the University of Mississippi. We feel that networking and relationship building are an essential part of business operations. In fact, it is said that over 60% of all jobs are found through networking. Because of this, we have made it a point to provide our MBA students with numerous networking opportunities.
MBA Mentor Program
We have recently established a mentor program that pairs each student with a graduate from our MBA Program. This program is designed to pair each MBA student with an alumnus/a who is working in the student’s desired field of study. The goal is for students to not only be able to go to their mentor for questions regarding the MBA Program, but also to learn more about their desired field of study from the mentor and to get a jump start on establishing contacts in the business world.
Business Advisory Board
The Business Advisory Board is composed of successful executives, business people, and enterpreneurs who generously give their time to help the Ole Miss Business School in many important ways. One of the Board's most important contributions, and the favorite activity for the members, is to help Ole Miss Business students make the personal connections they need to find jobs and promote their careers. Board members come to campus at least twice per year for semi-anual meetings, but many members come more often to give guest lectures, interact with students, and participate in student activities.
MBA Alumni Board
The MBA Alumni Board is composed of recent and earlier graduates of the Ole Miss MBA Program. Having gone through the program, they are particularly eager to help our current MBA students succeed in the program and in their job searches. The MBA Alumni Board hosts meet & greet sessions for current students to help connect them to the business world and provide networking opportunities. Board members also host and participate in the semi-annual MBA Career Development Forums, where MBA students get first-hand information on how to plan an effective job search, what employers expect from new hires, and how to advance as rapidly as possible in an organization.
The Ole Miss Alumni Association
Certainly one of the most imporant and valuable aspects of being a student at The University of Mississippi is the incredibly intense loyalty of our alumni. With members all over the U.S. and throughout the world in all manner of professions and levels of success, the Ole Miss Alumni Association provides our students with a link to a network that is one of the most powerful and pervasive of any university in the country.
