Note: Continuing scholarships are awarded for one academic year only. Students must reapply to be considered for a continuing scholarship for the next year.
 

Scholarships Open to ALL Business School Students

P.M. Brady "Focus" Scholarship in Business 

Students must have a 2.5 or higher GPA and be a full-time junior, senior, or graduate student. Recipients must attain or maintain a 3.0 GPA of higher once they have received the award.

The Charles E. Bryant Memorial Scholarship

Recipients must be at least a sophomore and have demonstrated academic achievement.

Business Administration/Accountancy Scholarship

Recipients must have junior status and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

The John Reed Holley Scholarship

Recipients must be in the School of Business Administration and must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA on at least 12 credit hours of coursework per semester. Financial need and academic excellence are taken into consideration.

The Lewis Scholarship

Recipients must be children of employees of Lewis Grocer Company, Sunflower Food Stores, or subsidiaries of Lewis Grocer Company. The award is for $600 for each academic year and is restricted to students in the School of Business Administration.

The Litton Industries Scholarship

The award carries a $2,000 annual stipend. Awards are made on the basis of scholastic ability, leadership potential, and financial need.

The Joe T. Dehmer Scholarship

Recipients must be full-time students with junior or senior status. Recipients must demonstrate financial need, leadership potential , and scholastic ability. Special attention is given to students with part-time work experience.

The Forrest C. Mobley Scholarships in Business Administration

This scholarship is available to sophomore, junior, and senior undergraduate students and graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in Business Administration.

The James Sterling Reckling Scholarship

This is an academic scholarship for full-time students enrolled in Business Administration.


Mississippi Residents Only

The Dantzler Scholarship

This Scholarship is to assist continuing students in the School of Business Administration. Applicants must be a full time sophomore, junior or senior and a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Susan Colbert Davis Memorial Scholarship

Recipients must have junior status and be a Mississippi resident from Alcorn or Chickasaw counties, and must demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.

The Anne and Cecil C. Fox Scholarship

This Scholarship is awarded to students who show scholastic ability, leadership potential, and who have financial need. First preference is to students from Madison County, Mississippi.

The Merchants and Farmers Bank Scholarship in Business and Education

This award recognizes outstanding students in the School of Business Administration and the School of Education who maintain a 2.75 GPA or higher.

The James D. Pearson Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Recipients must be full-time Business Administration students.

The Sneed Business Scholarship

Recipients must be Business majors who are residents of Oxford, Mississippi.


Marketing Majors Only

Kristofer George Mihalyka Memorial Scholarship in Business Administration

Recipients must be a full-time junior or senior Marketing major and a U.S. citizen, demonstrating scholastic ability and leadership potential.


Insurance and Risk Management Majors Only

Kitty Henderson Brewer Scholarship

Recipients must be full-time students who have an interest in the field of Insurance and Risk Management.

The Caldwell Insurance Scholarship

This scholarship is to assist deserving students majoring in Insurance and Risk Management.

The Anne Sullivant Sampson Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students of exceptional academic and professional ability majoring in Insurance and Risk Management and requiring financial assistance.

The Clant M. Seay Memorial Scholarship

Preference is given to students majoring in Insurance and Risk Management. Scholarship, leadership, and financial need are also considered.

The W. Clif Shirley Jr. Scholarship in Life Insurance

Consideration for this award will be given to students majoring in Insurance and Risk Management who are in need of financial assistance and who have demonstrated exceptional academic ability and professional competence.


Banking and Finance Majors Only

The Bank of Mississippi Scholarship

Recipients must be Mississippi residents majoring in Banking and Finance.

The L. L. Bethay Scholastic Award in Banking and Finance

This scholarship is awarded each spring semester to a Mississippi resident who is an undergraduate or graduate in Banking and Finance. Selection of the recipient is based on scholarship, leadership, character, and financial need.

The Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Eason Scholarship in Banking

Recipients must be Mississippi residents pursuing a course of study in Banking and Finance.

The First National Bank of Oxford Scholarship

The recipient must be a Lafayette County resident pursuing a course of study in Banking and Finance.

The W. P. McMullan Scholarship

Recipients must be Mississippi residents ranking in the upper 50 percent of their graduating classes who major in Banking and Finance and who need financial assistance.

The Dudley Rook "Little Dudley" Moore IV Scholarship

The recipient must be a full-time student who is an entering freshman or transfer student, with first preference given to a student from North Mississippi who is pursuing a major in Banking and Finance.
