These scholarships are for students who are already enrolled in the School of Business Administration. Continuing student scholarships are awarded for one academic year only. Students must reapply to be considered for a continuing scholarship for the next year.

The P. M. Brady “Focus” Scholarship in Business

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing a major within the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Scholarship recipients shall be full-time undergraduate, who are in their junior or senior year, or graduate students who are enrolled in the School of Business Administration. Recipients shall receive a minimum stipend of $1000 per semester. To be eligible for the award, the candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5; and, upon receiving the scholarship must maintain a GPA of 3.0. The recipient shall be chosen by the scholarship selection committee as appointed by the Dean of the School of Business Administration.




The Charles E. Bryant Memorial Scholarship (formerly Pizza Hut of North MS Scholarship)

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women to obtain an education in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be deserving Business Administration students, who demonstrate academic achievement and are a member of either the sophomore, junior, or senior class. The recipient of the scholarship shall be determined by a committee consisting of the Dean of the School of Business Administration, the Secretary of the Business Administration and Accountancy Alumni Chapter, and a representative of the Development Office. The scholarship shall be no longer than six (6) semesters or until the student receives the Baccalaureate degree or as otherwise determined by the selection committee.




The Business/Accountancy Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving you men and women who are pursuing an education in either the School of Business Administration or the School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students who are pursuing an education in either the School of Business or the School of Accountancy. Recipient students must be at least a junior and have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.0. The scholarship shall be no longer than 4 semesters or until the Baccalaureate degree is received. Awards shall be made on an alternating basis between the above mentioned areas.




The Business Advisory Board Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to deserving students pursing a degree in business at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students with Senior standing. Students must have at least a 3.0 grade point average and must maintain this minimum average throughout their tenure at the University of Mississippi. Selection shall be made by the BAB Scholarship Committee with assistance from the Dean’s Office.




The Dantzler Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipient shall be a full-time student pursing a degree in business, with demonstrated academic achievement and leadership ability.




The Susan Colbert Davis Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize deserving young men and women who are obtaining an education in Business Administration or Liberal Arts at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be deserving students who are United States citizens, Mississippi residents, preferably from either Alcorn or Chickasaw counties, and in at least the Junior year of study who have demonstrated financial need and academic achievement.




The Joe T. Dehmer Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing a business degree at the University of Mississippi. The recipient shall be a full-time student who is entering his/her junior or senior year in the School of Business Administration. Award criteria shall be financial need, leadership potential, and scholastic ability, with special attention to the student with part-time work experience. The award will be for four (4) academic semesters or until the recipient(s) receive the Baccalaureate degree, whichever occurs first.




The Michael E. and Melanie W. Dowell Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to deserving students who are pursuing a major in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time students who are pursuing a major with the School of Business. The recipient will be selected by the School of Business Scholarship Committee. The recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 to continue to receive the award.




The Anne S. and Cecil C. Fox Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be chosen on the basis of scholastic ability, leadership potential, and financial need. First preference for the scholarship shall be given to students from Madison County, Mississippi who are majoring in any field of study in the School of Business Administration; second preference shall be given to students from Madison County, Mississippi enrolled in any other academic major; third preference shall be given to students from any county contiguous to Madison County, Mississippi who are majoring in any field of study in the School of Business Administration; fourth preference shall be given to students from any county contiguous to Madison County, Mississippi enrolled in any other academic major; fifth preference shall be given to students from any other county in the State of Mississippi who are majoring in any field of study in the School of Business Administration; and sixth preference shall be given to students from any other county in the State of Mississippi enrolled in any other academic major.

The Denise S. Joseph Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students with preference give to students who are residents of the Jackson, Mississippi area. The scholarship recipient shall be chosen on the basis of scholastic ability, leadership potential, and financial need.




The Kristofer George Mihalyka Memorial Scholarship in Business Administration

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving students who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. The scholarship recipient will be an American citizen who is a full-time student entering his/her junior or senior year in the School of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Award criteria will be scholastic ability and leadership potential. The award will be for four (4) semesters or until the recipient receives the Baccalaureate degree, whichever occurs first.




The Forrest C. Mobley Scholarship in Business Administration

Recipient of scholarship shall be a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year undergraduate student and/or graduate student. Recipient shall have demonstrated achievement in the areas of leadership, academics, and competence in the field of business administration.




The Northrop Grumman Scholarship in Business Administration/Accountancy (formerly the Litton Industries Scholarship)

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving young men and women who are pursuing an education in either the Schools of Business or Accountancy at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students with Junior standing in either the Schools of Business Administration or Accountancy with selection based primarily upon scholastic achievement and character. Recipients will be selected from a list submitted by the Chancellor of the University to the President of Northrop-Grumman. Renewal of award is determined in accordance with set University standards for receiving scholarships.




The James D. Pearson, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize deserving men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students who are graduates of Cleveland High School, with second preference to students from Bolivar County, third preference to Mississippi residents; who are enrolled in the School of Business Administration.




The James Sterling Reckling Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is assist deserving men and women who are pursing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students who are enrolled in the School of Business Administration. The recipient shall be selected by the Business School faculty with the approval of the Dean.




The Reeves-Williams Desoto Center Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to deserving students who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi—Desoto Center. Recipients will be a Desoto County resident who is enrolled full-time and majoring in Business Administration or Accountancy at the University of Mississippi—Desoto Center.

The SIOR Scholarship

Recipient shall be a full-time student pursuing a degree in Real Estate in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Selection will be made by donor in conjunction with Professor of Real Estate at the School of Business. Nominees must submit a resume in order to be considered.




The Sneed Business Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing a business degree at the University of Mississippi. The recipient shall be a full-time student who is majoring in Business and who resides in Lafayette County. The recipient shall demonstrate exceptional academic ability and leadership potential and shall have financial need as determined through the Department of Financial Aid.




The Bowman Stirling Tighe Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women with demonstrated financial need in their pursuit of degrees in the School of Business Administration at the University Mississippi. First preference will be given to those students pursuing an academic emphasis of at least twelve (12) semester hours related to professional land management; second preference shall be to a student pursuing a graduate degree in law.




The Michael and Jane Strojny Business Scholarship

Recipients will be full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in the School of Business Administration and selection will be made based on leadership and academic achievement. Selection of recipient will be made by the School of Business Scholarship Committee. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, the award may be received for a maximum of eight (8) semesters.




The Homer Conrad Trammell Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students with Junior or Senior standing in the School of Business; an overall grade point average of 3.00, and exhibit financial need.




The Beau and Marjorie Whittington Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students who are pursuing a major in the School of Business at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time students who are pursuing a major with the School of Business. The recipient will be selected by the School of Business Scholarship Committee. The recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 to continue to receive the award.




Banking Scholarships




The BanCorp South Scholarship




The L. L. Bethay Scholastic Award in Banking and Finance

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving young men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students who are in the School of Business Administration majoring in Banking and Finance. The recipient will be chosen annually by the Chair of Banking and announced at the spring awards day convocation.




The Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Eason Scholarship in Banking

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving young men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students who are Mississippi residents who are enrolled in the School of Business Administration pursuing a degree in Banking. The Chair of Banking professor shall recommend recipient(s) to the Department of Financial Aid. The award may be renewed annually upon recommendation of the Chair of Banking.




The Hancock Bank Scholarship for Banking Excellence

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students at the University of Mississippi School of Business Administration. Recipients will be full-time juniors or seniors who are enrolled in the School of Business Administration’s Banking and Finance program with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Recipients will be from counties or parishes in the Hancock Bank service area, which include, but are not limited to the following: In Mississippi—Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Forest, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, or Pearl River; In Louisiana—Evangeline, St. Tammany, Orleans, Ascension, Jefferson, East Baton Rouge, Livingston, Rapides, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Feliciana Parish, or St. Landry; In Alabama—Mobile County or Baldwin County; In Florida—Escambia County or Leon County.




The Robert E. Kennington, II Banking and Finance Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving you men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi in the School of Business Administration with preference being given to Banking and Finance majors. Recipients shall be chosen from applicants from the areas served by the Sunburst Banking Systems, namely, the State of Mississippi and the Baton Rouge, Louisiana metropolitan area. First preference shall be given to Afro-American students. Students of other races may also apply with the criteria for selection of any recipient to be based first, on financial need; and second, on high school or prior college scholarship, academic standing, ACT/SAT scores, and high school or college extracurricular activities. Awards will be for no more than eight (8) continuous semesters if a freshman or the number of additional semesters required to complete the Banking and Finance degree requirements, as determined by the selection committee. Renewal of the award each year is based on the recipient(s) maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.75.




The Land Bank of North Mississippi Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing an education in the School of Business at the University of Mississippi. Recipient will be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the School of Business who has demonstrated academic achievement, community service, good moral character and leadership ability. First preference will be given to a student who are children of current stockholders of the Land Bank of North Mississippi, have financial need and who are from the following counties that the Land Bank of North Mississippi services: Alcorn, Attala, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clay, Coahoma, DeSoto, Itawamba, Lafayette, Lee, Lowndes, Marshall, Monroe, Noxubee, Oktibbeha, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica, Union, Webster, Winston, and Yalobusha. Recipient will be awarded a one-time scholarship for $1000 ($500 fall semester and $500 spring semester).




The Paul W. and Georgie Watkins McMullan Scholarship in Banking

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving students who are pursuing a career in the field of banking. The scholarship recipient will be a full-time student enrolled in the School of Business Administration who is majoring in Banking. Award criteria will be scholastic ability and leadership potential.




The Dudley Rook “Little Dudley” Moore, IV Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving students who are pursuing a major in Banking and Finance within the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. The scholarship recipient will be a full-time student from North Mississippi, and who is pursuing a major in Banking and Finance in the School of Business Administration. The recipient will be selected by the School of Business Administration Scholarship Committee. The recipient must maintain a GPA of 2.5 to continue to receive the award.




The Hugh S. Potts, Sr. Memorial Scholarship (formerly the Merchants and Farmers Bank Business/Education Scholarship)

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students who are residents of Mississippi and a graduate of a high school within a county in which Merchants and Farmers Bank or any successor has a bank or branch. Awardees must be enrolled in the School of Business or the School of Education and maintain a minimum 2.75 grade point average. Awards shall be limited to eight (8) semesters of study or until the Baccalaureate degree is received. Preference shall be given to students with a record of academic honors, outstanding leadership record, exemplary citizenship qualities, and who plan to reside in the State of Mississippi upon graduation.




The Ben M. Rawls Scholarship in Banking

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving young men and women who are pursuing an education in banking at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students who are pursuing an education in banking and who otherwise meet the criteria of scholastic aptitude, leadership ability, and financial need. Eligible students must be from either Marion, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Walthall, or Pearl River counties in Mississippi. Awards will be made by the Standing Committee on Student Financial Aid in consultation with the Professor holding the Chair of Banking.




The Renasant Bank Corporate Ole Miss First Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to students who are majoring in Banking and Finance, specifically banking, in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time students majoring in Banking and Finance and selection will be made by the School of Business Administration Scholarship Selection Committee in consultation with Maureen Liberto, Director of the Ole Miss First Leadership/Mentorship Program, or her successor. Selection may be based on merit and/or need. First preference will be given to students who are residents of North Mississippi, Memphis, Tennessee area, Nashville, Tennessee area, Huntsville, Alabama area or the Birmingham, Alabama area. Recipients will have an opportunity to participate in an Internship Program as established by the Donor and the School of Business Administration and mentors named by the Donor will be made available to the recipients. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, the scholarship may be received for a maximum of eight (8) semesters.




The Sterne, Agee & Leech Scholarship




The Leonard Davis Wesson Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance to deserving men and women who are pursuing a major in Banking and Finance at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time undergraduate students who meet the criteria of financial need, scholastic ability, and leadership potential. First preference shall be given to students from the state of Mississippi. The award shall be sufficient to cover the following costs, in order of priority, for one academic year: tuition, room, and board. This award shall be given on a yearly basis and to the same recipient, provided the recipient maintains the same degree of academic excellence, progress toward achieving an undergraduate degree, and any other criteria set by the award committee. The scholarship stipend shall be set by the award committee.




Insurance Scholarships




The ACE Westchester Scholarship




The Kitty Henderson Brewer Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving young men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students with preference given students who have indicated an interest in the study of insurance.




The Caldwell Endowment in Insurance

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing a business degree with a major in the field of Insurance at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be full-time students majoring in insurance who demonstrate exceptional academic ability, leadership potential, and who are in need of financial assistance.




The Delta Life and Annuity Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize an outstanding student at the University of Mississippi with plans to pursue a career in the areas of Life Insurance, Financial Planning, or Estate Planning. Recipients shall be full-time students; a junior or above in class standing; have a minimum GPA of 3.0; and must demonstrate analytical work either through a course paper, a computer program, or similar written device. The recipient(s) shall be selected by a faculty group from the Department of Economics and Finance within the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi as designated by the Department Chairman. A representative of Delta Life and Annuity may sit in on the selection process if the company so desires. The recipient selected by the committee will be submitted along with examples of written analytical work to the Delta Life and Annuity Company for approval.




The Ralph J. Healy Insurance Scholarship




The Charles Puffer Newman Memorial Scholarship in Insurance

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to deserving students who are classified as a Junior or Senior and are enrolled in the Insurance program at the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time students with an overall grade point average of 3.0; who demonstrate involvement with campus activities. Selection of recipient will be made by the School of Business Insurance Committee.




The Mark M. Porter—Ole Miss First Scholars

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are majoring in Insurance in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be a full-time student with first preference being given to a junior majoring in Insurance in the School of Business Administration. Selection of recipient will be made by either the Ole Miss First Scholars Committee in consultation with the University of Mississippi Regional Admissions Counselors or the School of Business Scholarship Committee. Selection of recipient will be made based on merit and/or need. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, the award may be received for a maximum of four (4) semesters.




The RIMS-Memphis Scholarship

The Anne Sullivant Sampson Scholarship in Insurance

First consideration will be given to students majoring in Insurance who are in need of financial assistance and who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and professional competence and leadership.




The W. Clif Shirley, Sr. Scholarship in Life Insurance

Recipients shall be students majoring in insurance who are in need of financial assistance and who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and professional competence and leadership.




The Morgan White Group Scholarship in Insurance and Human Resource Management

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing degrees in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Selection of recipients will be made by the School of Business Scholarship Committee. Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1000 per semester to full-time students with demonstrated financial need who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree within the School of Business at the University of Mississippi. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 grade point average, recipients may continue to receive the $1000 scholarship per semester until the course of study is completed. If recipients fail to maintain the required grade point average, he/she will lose the financial aid from this scholarship program.
