The Cellular South Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing a degree in the School of Business at the University of Mississippi. Recipient shall be a U.S. citizen, resident of the State of Mississippi, full-time freshman admitted to the University of Mississippi, majoring in the School of Business, grade point average of at least of 3.0 or better (in high school upon award and in college for purposes of continuing the scholarship), attained a 28 on the ACT/SAT and a good campus citizen involved in community service and/or extra-curricular activities, with leadership potential and a demonstrated desire to make the most of the opportunity to attend college. Applicants must provide a written essay on why they want to major in business.




The Crunk Family Scholarship in Business

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to deserving men and women enrolled in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time freshmen enrolled in the School of Business Administration. First preference will be given to students from the Middle Tennessee area. Selection of recipients will be made by the Financial Aid Scholarship Committee in consultation with the University of Mississippi School of Business. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, the award may be received for a maximum of eight semesters.




The Christine and Clarence Day Business Scholar

Recipient will be a graduate of a high school within the State of Mississippi, with a commitment to earn a degree from the School of Business Administration and to pursue a career in business. Recipient shall have an outstanding academic record, as evidenced by classroom performance and ACT/SAT scores. Recipient shall demonstrate a strong leadership in community organizations and student government or other student associations, reflecting personal motivation, entrepreneurial activities, creative thinking, commitment, and the ability to lead others, as well as a reputation for high moral values and personal integrity. To retain the scholarship, the recipient must remain in good standing at the University of Mississippi and must maintain a 3.5 average in a major within the School of Business Administration.




The S. Lawrence Farrington—Ole Miss First

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing a major in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. The recipients will be full-time students pursuing a major in the School of Business Administration and who are residents of Mississippi. The selection criteria will be scholastic ability with a minimum ACT score of 24 and leadership potential. Financial need may be a consideration. The award will be a maximum of eight semesters.




The Gatlin Family/Ole Miss First Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving young men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipients must have a solid academic record in high school and an ACT or SAT score consistent with that record. Recipient must be an entering freshman from North Mississippi or the Memphis area, have a definite interest in a career in business, and be interested in completing a college degree at the University of Mississippi with a major in an area of business administration. Other factors such as evidence of leadership ability, extracurricular activities, and honors may also be considered. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average in order to continue receiving this scholarship.




The Hap Hederman and Doug Hederman—Ole Miss First Scholars Award

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are enrolled in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipient will be a full-time freshman enrolled in the School of Business Administration. Selection of recipient will be made based on merit and/or need. Selection of recipient will be made by either the Ole Miss First Scholars Committee in consultation with the University of Mississippi Regional Admissions Counselors or the School of Business Scholarship Committee. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, the award may be received for a maximum of eight semesters.




The John Reed Holley Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving young men and women pursuing an education in the School of Business or the School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi. Recipients shall be deserving Business Administration or Accountancy students who have demonstrated a financial need and a potential for academic achievement as determined by a scholarship committee consisting of the President of the Business Administration and Accountancy Alumni Chapter; the Dean of Students at the University of Mississippi, the Director of Student Financial Aid at the University of Mississippi, and the Secretary of the Business Administration and Accountancy Alumni Chapter Secretary. The scholarship shall be for no longer than eight (8) semesters for each recipient, terminating when the student becomes ineligible or has completed requirements for the Baccalaureate degree. The scholarship committee will require written application from each applicant prior to awarding the scholarship.




The Robert Y. Love Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing an education at the University of Mississippi. Recipient must be full-time students who are making satisfactory academic progress toward a degree and maintain the grade point average required by the Committee on Student Financial Aid. First preference for the award shall be given to music/vocal performance majors with second preference given to students in the School of Business. The award shall be for eight semesters or until the student receives the Baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first. Awards shall be made on an alternating basis between the above mentioned areas.




The Thomas Martin Murphree, Sr. Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance in the form of tuition and book allowances to deserving men and women enrolled in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time freshmen enrolled in the School of Business Administration. Recipients will be residents of the state of Mississippi for a minimum of ten years. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, the award may be received for a maximum of eight (8) semesters.




The Strojny & Strojny Corporate Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide scholarship assistance to deserving men and women enrolled in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will be full-time freshmen, sophomores, or rising juniors, including transfer students, majoring in Business. Recipients must hold a 3.0 grade point average as a continuing college student or a 3.5 high school grade point average as an entering freshman. Selection of the scholarship recipient will be made by the School of Business Administration Scholarship Committee in consultation with Strojny & Strojny Foundation Services. Two scholarships will be awarded annually, contingent upon the availability of funds from the Donor, and will total the cost of tuition only. Contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, the award may be received for a maximum of eight (8) semesters.
