Students with a major in business can also have an approved non-business minor. A number of minors that generally require a minimum of 18 hours are offered by other departments within the University and are available options to business students in the Undergraduate Program.

In order to earn a minor, students should choose the non-business electives included in the business curriculum carefully. In some cases, a particular course that is a liberal arts requirement in the business curriculum will count toward a minor field. Students should also choose a minor field in business that would complement their business degree. Students should discuss their interest in earning a minor with their advisor.

The School of Business Administration is very happy to announce one of the newest minors available to business students, Pharmacy Administration. Students will learn about the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical sales, as well as pharmacy administration. This minor prepares students for a career in Pharmaceutical sales or administration.

Students from other schools at the University of Mississippi can also minor in Business. A minor in Business requires a minimum of 9 hours. Students can choose from most of the available majors in the School of Business Administration. For example, a minor in Banking in Finance requires Fin 303, Fin 333, and Fin 537. Interested students can learn more about Business minors by speaking with an advisor in the Business Advising Office - 220 Holman Hall.
